Locally advanced primary breast lymphoma: a rare case report

Abstract Background Primary Breast Lymphoma is a rare manifestation of extranodal non-Hodgkin lymphoma and accounts for less than 1% all breast malignancies. It defined by localized involvement the mammary tissue lymphomatous infiltrate in absence prior extramammary concomitant widespread disease. Case presentation A 46-year-old melanodermic woman was referred to our hospital due an extensive ulcerated right lesion with signs infection. Imaging studies revealed large tumor invading chest wall, cortical disruption adjacent ribs associated pleural thickening. Later, it complicated bronchopleural cutaneous fistula. Biopsy mass performed histopathologic diagnosis consistent infiltration diffuse B-cell lymphoma. Concurrent disease preceding were excluded. Firstly, antibiotic therapy instituted surgical debridement order control Afterwards, she underwent chemotherapy local radiotherapy, radiologic complete response. Conclusions The primary challenging because this has non-specific symptoms imaging features. Radio–pathological correlation exclusion systemic are essential establish minimize potential complications.
